Gemanco Design delivers colour, texture and wall-to-wall creativity
Gemanco Design knows the impact of colour and texture on a space, which is why it relies on the versatility of Roland UV technology to fuel its creativity. Their flair for design and use of Roland technology to push creative boundaries make Gemanco a Roland Hero.
As an offshoot of construction specialist Gemanco Spa Group, Gemanco Design understands the impact of creative customised interiors. The graphics company, based in the southern Italian town of Modugno, has made a name for itself as an expert in custom-printed wallpapers, wall stickers, tailor-made resin mosaics and much more.
A favourite project of Gemanco Design's General Manager Nicola Rubino is a collection of over 200 wooden tables personalised with images of broken majolicas (decorated pottery), on display at a seaside restaurant in Calabria, Italy - while another incredible piece was designed to look like an authentic wall painting.

"A project which we are very proud of is the monumental print that covers the walls of the main room of Le Marly, one of the most famous places in Casablanca," he says. "Over eleven metres long and five metres high, with no visible joins and high-definition quality to look like a real fresco. The result is stunning."
All this creativity is possible thanks to Roland DG UV printing technology. Following the installation of a Roland VersaUV LEF-200 benchtop printer to produce samples, Gemanco Design discovered the customisation potential of UV technology and - responding to demand from customers - Gemanco Design moved up to the larger VersaUV LEJ-640 flatbed printer just a few months later.
Roland VersaUV doesn't just add stunning colour to a graphic design: the system can even print touchable textures and highlights in white ink and gloss. Gemanco can create a world of designs that appeal to the senses.
The technology is also fast, automated and reliable – allowing Gemanco's designers to spend more time on their creative work and less on managing print runs.
"Roland technology simplified our life in terms of the speed of production and saving time," says Nicola Rubino.
Gemanco Design's products are 100 per cent customisable, a service which is 'really appreciated by our customers', says Nicola. Wallpaper, in particular, 'is the fastest way to give a new look to an environment' - spreading creativity from room to room.
